My name & my story

     My name is Cary, and my Chines name is Gaojia Cai. Cai is my last name, I get is from my ancestor. Gaojia is my fist name, Gao is part of my first name, but I get if from the pedigree of my clan, it means the number of my generation. Last but not least, jia is another part of my first, my parents give it to me, they wish me to be a respectable person. I come from Chaozhou, a small ancient city in China. My family has 4 members, including my parents, my elder brother and me. My parents have their own company and my elder brother work for them now. In fact, my mother is also a housewife, she is in charge of all the housework.

     When I reflect on my education, including university, there is one event that have change my life. In fact, it is a mechanical competition. When I was sophomore, I accidentally participated a competition about my major, Mechanical engineering. But at that time, I only learn little about my major, and other teams were almost junior. However, at first, it made me and my team members become lack of confidence. But after we strive to think deeply and design our works, we all became exciting and confident. I think even the junior, even though they only learn more several curriculum than us, our ideas may more attractive and creative. At last, we won the second price but some of the junior teams were awarded with nothing. After the competition, I knew more about my major and found how I love my major and how I love to design a machine..
